Amanda Rackley

Amanda grew up in Eastern NC where she graduated from East Duplin High School. She attended Meredith College in Raleigh, NC and graduated in 2006 with her Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education. She taught for 3 years in the public school system in Johnston County and received the First Year Teacher of the Year award for her county. She received her Master of Divinity degree from Duke University in 2012 and went on to serve as a Chaplain Resident at UNC Hospitals while working at Mt. Bethel UMC in Bahama, NC as their Music Director. After her residency, Amanda took a full-time position at Fuquay-Varina UMC and served as their Director of Children and Family Ministries for 7 years before taking her position at Spring Hill UMC. Amanda is married to Bobby Rackley and they have three young sons - six, four, and one - who keep them busy! In her free time she enjoys planning their next Disney trip and going on adventures with her family!
